ΩRGANISM
Music is rhythmic - it is alive. This project focuses on creating a sculptural speaker that lives and breaths, much like music. Wires are routed through the spinal column, and distributed to each driver, functioning as a psuedo-nervous system. Made with varying degrees of torrefied Pennsylvania ash. Sits upon a slate or metallic base. 3-way crossover that utilizes silver wiring and silver-coil inductors.
Easy to manufacture (keep this between us).
Best paired with a subwoofer that shares a similar aesthetic, which I’m currently working on.
Lower frequencies expand at a much faster rate than higher frequencies. This is why drivers are placed in a progressive rhythm - from bottom to top. This is also why we must stagger the sensitivity of the drivers, to create an equalized soundstage.
Drivers are a reverse-engineered model that I concocted in reference to cogent field-coil drivers; and serve as a placeholder for drivers that are properly suited for the purpose. Perhaps field-coil drivers manufactured in house would be an ideal solution.

ARC Turntable
A monochromatic architecturally-inspired turntable designed for cold-casting in-house. High-end, contemporary-victorian-roman architectural style; extremely efficient (both environmentally and cost-effective) to produce. Made with a densified ~90% proprietary organic composite I’ve been experimenting with; various ratios produce variable structural and resonance properties.
This world has limitless potential in terms of form. Though, what are those forms made of?

Acoustic Absorber - Shag Tapestries
A much more eloquent solution to replace traditionally ugly foam acoustic absorbers. Could offer a variety of colors/designs.
Inspired by works of Magdalena Abakanowicz.
Original idea of Matthew Sauer.

Acoustic Window Treatment
Windows are the bane of acoustic treatment. Why not use thick, multi-layered curtains to increase absorption and reduce unwanted vibrations and reflections?
Original idea by Matthew Sauer.
We need to contact curtain manufacturer.

Accordion Diffuser
Adjustable size and shape, fits easily into any space, and even rounds corners for acoustic treatment. The accordion-style of this design alludes to musical intent. Can be used as divider walls. Can be expanded or contracted to interface with different frequencies. Invented by Matthew Sauer 01/15/2025

Ripple
When art has utility, it’s considered design. Why not frame a diffusor, and hang it on the wall? Easy to manufacture, utilizing the concept of kerfing, which is used in the making of guitars. This is merging the boundaries of design and art, and creates a statement that art should not only be aesthetic; but also have a high degree of utility.

ΩRGANISM - Drawing (Side Profile)
To recreate the beauty of music and rhythmic complexity in design is a feat. Everything is a musical structure. Both progressive and alternating rhythms are a fundamental principle of being and gestalt psychology; and this is also found in human perception and consciousness.
